Kerry and I would like to introduce you all to two new additions to our business: Spike and Faye.
Our friend and fellow photographer Darren affectionately refers to them as pagumas. We have been talking about getting another one for Ed when Kit dies, but didn’t expect to bring home two today.
Little Faye is on the left, Kit is in the back and Ed is on the right.
Kerry is a big fan of Cowboy Bebop, so when we got Ed, he named him after the little girl character Ed from that show. We would make jokes about our next ferret being a girl and we would name her Faye.
We went to Petco today to get supplies for the fur babies and saw (Soon-to-be) Faye and Spike in a cage on top of the ferret display cage. We asked and were told that they were transferred over to Petco for adoption since the previous owner could not take care of them anymore – they were both about 4 months old. I asked if we could just adopt one, they told us no, they had to go as a pair.
Kerry and I walked away to think about it, but it wasn’t long until we both agreed we could give them a good home. So we packed them up and brought them home. I think we might just start a 365 of “Pagumas”. Maybe…![]()
Kit, yawning – was named after the car from Knight Rider.
Ed on the left, Spike on the right. Ed doesn’t like to share the attention we found out today, but they are all getting along better than we expected. When we finally get them all outside, I’ll post more photos![]()
I hope everyone is having a great Monday!
Cheers,
Anna
